BabyPlays.com Introduces the World's First Online Vacation/Travel Toy Rental Program
BabyPlays.com, the world's largest online toy rental company, is introducing its Vacation/Travel toy rental program available to any family traveling or vacationing in the U.S. In addition, starting this Spring, families making online reservations at over 250,000 US vacation partner properties will be able to rent toys online while renting their properties, making toy rental even easier!
Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 20, 2009 -- Families vacationing with children 5-years-old and younger can now to go to babyplays.com and select rental toys to be shipped to their travel/vacation destination. In Addition, starting this April, Babyplays will be linked to over 1,500 vacation property websites where reservations can be made for over 250,000 vacation properties in the US. These vacation properties include resorts, residential condos, beach houses and ski lodges.
"Our travel/vacation toy rental business is a significant, and rapidly growing, segment of our overall toy rental business," comments CEO Lori Pope. "We have been looking for a way to put the travel/vacation toy rental option in front of many more vacationing families this summer, and the partnership we have formed with property rental management companies is a big step in that direction."
Up until now, families traveling or vacationing with young children faced a dilemma. They could "make room" for toys in already over packed cars. If traveling by air, they could stuff some toys in an additional suitcase, creating one more suitcase to lug around, and pay an additional $50-$70 round trip to have the suitcase checked in at the airport terminal. They could have their children "do without" toys for a week or two while they are away from home...and suffer the consequences. Or, the family could spend time and money shopping for and buying toys for their children when they arrived at their vacation destination and either leave them behind or figure out a way to get them back home.
"We think we have a much better solution," states Bob Horuff, Vice President of Marketing. "For only $49.95 a vacationing family can have a large box of 5 high quality andage appropriate toys, sanitized and shrink wrapped, waiting for them at their vacation destination. When they are ready to leave, they just put the toys back in the box, apply the provided tape and mailing label and drop the box off at the resort's reservation desk or a Fed Ex shipping location when they check out."
Renting toys from BabyPlays costs substantially less than what an average American family spends on the purchase of toy. American families with one child spend, on average, $720 annually on toy purchases. Families with two children spend, on average, $1,200 annually. Depending upon which membership program is selected, families can save nearly $400 a year if they have one child and over $800 if they are currently buying toys for two children.
