Animagic Entertainment and Fremantle Corporation Announce Worldwide Distribution Agreement for Balloonatiks® CG Feature Film
Animation producer Animagic Entertainment has reached an agreement with Fremantle Corporation for worldwide distribution of its Balloonatiks full-length, feature film project, which is currently in pre-production. Additionally, Fremantle Corporation is in discussion with Animagic to distribute 26 half-hour Balloonatiks CGI television series episodes, which are also currently in pre-production for the 2010 season. The series and the feature will be supported by an interactive online "Hot Air City Virtual World."
Carpinteria, CA (PRWEB) June 3, 2009 -- Animation producer Animagic Entertainment has reached an agreement with Fremantle Corporation for worldwide distribution of its "Balloonatiks" full-length, feature film project, which is currently in pre-production. Additionally, Fremantle Corporation is in discussion with Animagic to distribute 26 half-hour "Balloonatiks" CGI television series episodes, which are also currently in pre-production for the 2010 season. The series and the feature will be supported by an interactive online "Hot Air City Virtual World." Fremantle brings over 50 years of experience in international and domestic distribution along with co-production expertise and sales of media to the global marketplace. The announcement was made today by Tony DiIoia, Chairman and CEO of Animagic.
Animagic Entertainment will be at this year's Licensing Show in Las Vegas as part of its overall strategy to develop a broad-based licensing and merchandising campaign to support the on-air and online elements. Video games, toys and games, accessories, publishing, gifts and novelties, stationary and paper goods, electronics, apparel and "lighter-than-air" snack foods are all key categories of interest.
Balloonatiks is a comedy-action-adventure series geared to kids ages 6-11 based on the well-known reading book, "The Balloonatiks 1st Goopy, Goofy, Loopy Adventure" and the Balloonatiks.com website. Award-winning director and producer Walt Kubiak ("Ninja Turtles," "Sitting Ducks" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks") serves as Head of Production; John Hardman serves as Creative Director. Hardman was formerly Senior VP of Programming for Kids' WB! where he played an essential role in putting together the talent teams for many Kids' WB! hit series, including "Yu-Gi-Oh!," "Mucha Lucha!," the original adventures of "What's New Scooby-Doo?," "Jackie Chan Adventures," "Static Shock" and "X-Men Evolution."

In the "Balloonatiks" television series, a chain of events starting at the Hot Air City Fair has transformed five ordinary kids into "Balloonatiks"--rubbery, shape-stretching heroes, each with special "balloonabilities." Kids will be clamoring to follow the antics of Flator, Squeeker, Airbrain, Bouncer, Sparky and their frog Leaky as they deal with life as gooped kids, and use their special powers to defend Hot Air City from a formidable array of nefarious villains.
The Balloonatiks Virtual World will be a massive multi-player online community, geared to kids 6-11--a 3D Hot Air City full of neighborhoods where all of the Balloonatiks characters (subscribers) can meet and chat with each other, earn "Balloonabucks," build an environmentally sustainable house, challenge each other to a friendly battle, shop, dress up, and play games.
