SinglesCanada.com Releases Hilarious YouTube Video called "Dating Susan Boyle"

Within 10 days, Singlescanada.com has become a YouTube rising star after introducing their humorous YouTube Video entitled "Dating Susan Boyle."

(PRWEB) June 2, 2009 - SinglesCanada.com, Canada's premiere online dating service, has weaved humor and truth together with their first YouTube commercial entitled "Dating Susan Boyle", which has been viewed more than 10,000 times in less than 10 days.

The video is a unique take on dating, combining humor with everyone's desire to find that perfect someone. It follows one man's desire to find his soulmate, aptly named Susan Boyle after the Britain's Got Talent singer who claims she has never been kissed. The moral of the video is "There's someone out there for everyone".

This phrase is one of the principles behind the formation of Singles Canada, one of Canada's oldest and most respected dating sites. Singles Canada was formed in 1998 and is designed specifically for Canadian singles to meet other singles from Toronto to Vancouver With more than 3 million dating profiles, its coast-to-coast reach and the fact it continues to grow even amidst a struggling economy, Singles Canada has become Canada's premiere dating service.

Patsy Copus, the site's founder and CEO, said: "Singles Canada was founded so Canadian singles could meet local singles with similar interests and desires. We are always thrilled to hear the true stories of couples who have met because of my service."

When Copus started Singles Canada, she was one of the first females to start a dating Web site. Since then she has found out that most dating sites are still dominated by men and that the owner of these sites remain hidden and prefer to work behind the scenes.

But Copus said she wanted to make sure that her customers knew who she was and gives them the opportunity to contact her via the Singles Canada Facebook page, Twitter, and through Copus's personal blog. Copus is a wife, mother and now grandmother who is still a fervent believer in giving back. In the past ten years she has volunteered at her local hospital, and donated to the Princess Margaret Hospital Cancer Fund through the "Pink Bedroom Party". Copus believes that everyone can give back in some way and rest easy knowing that they have made a positive change in their community or the world as a whole.

In today's world, people are extending their love search across the globe. That's why Singles Canada has extended their online dating sites in response to singles from the U.K, Australia, New Zealand and the United States who wanted to meet single Canadians.

Online dating has continuously shown that it can be one of the most effective methods for meeting someone. An incredible 7.8 million people from Britain have used some form of online dating that lasted at least one year, according to research from parship.com. Furthermore, the same site has reported that Internet daters have soared by 20 per cent since 2007. And a recent Which? Survey showed that more than 60 per cent of those polled believed it as easier to meet someone on a dating site than in a pub, club or even through friends, further showing that no matter the economy, Internet dating is here to stay and will continue to grow.

Singles Canada's first YouTube video, clearly shows how we should never "Judge a book by its cover" and that there truly is "someone out there for everyone"

Copus said: "The purpose of the video wasn't to be off-the-wall or outrageous, but to use humor to demonstrate how bad the bar scene can be and how quick it is to post a dating profile and get a response. Susan Boyle seemed to be the best example of a person who should use an online dating service. Singles Canada has been contacted by many viewers asking if there will be a sequel." Copus responded "It was a lot of fun to film so we just might do more."
