Slideshow Technologies Named Finalist in Reality Show - "The Next Tycoon"

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 7, 2009 -- Slideshow Technologies (www.slideshowtechnologies.com), a new Atlanta-based start-up creating advanced presentation technology, was named a finalist for the reality show "The Next Tycoon." Slideshow's first new product is a patent-pending device that eliminates the hassle and inconvenience of giving a presentation with a laptop.

"My partner, Jim Stoddart, and I are excited to be in the finals and look forward to the outcome," says Gary Webb, Co-Founder of Slideshow Technologies. The finals will be aired on Sunday at 5:30 on WGCL-TV/CBS Atlanta.

"The Next Tycoon" is a reality show that gives entrepreneurs from all ages and backgrounds a chance to present their business ideas to key decision makers and outstanding business and media leaders. The show is the brainchild of one of Atlanta's leading entrepreneurs, W. Cliff Oxford. Oxford endows the executive MBA program at Emory University's Goizueta Business School.

About the "The Next Tycoon"
In true reality-TV-show fashion, "The Next Tycoon" ( www.thenexttycoon.biz ) is a business-plan competition pitting entrepreneurs against one another in front of television cameras, and critical judges. "The Next Tycoon" will be granted exposure to venture capitalists, membership to the prestigious Luxury Economics. "The Next Tycoon" is the brainchild of one of Atlanta's leading entrepreneurs, W. Cliff Oxford. Oxford, who endows the executive MBA program at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, launched his business success in Atlanta with a help-desk services company that rapidly was recognized on Inc. magazine's prestigious "500 List" three years in a row as the 14th fastest growing company. In 2000, Oxford was named "The Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. The show is scheduled to air Sunday May 10 at 5:30 pm on CBS 46 in Atlanta as well as on the new national cable channel, MAV Network.
