Students Caught in the Middle of Today's Economic Woes Have a New Option for Employment

Ed-5000 embarks on a mission to provide online Life Long Career Path Education programs to High School students. Average families around the globe now have an alternative to private High Schools.

Norcross, GA (PRWEB) May 5, 2009 -- High School students caught in the middle of today's economic woes have a new option for employment after graduation. Starting Tuesday, May 5, 2009, ed-5000® will begin its mission to offer affordable online Life Long Career Path Education programs to High School students. The first program offering provides students the ability to learn advanced software engineering skills from accomplished professional programmers, project managers, business analysts and quality assurance engineers. Students successfully completing the program and graduating from High School will have a guaranteed internship opportunity waiting for them.

ed-5000 is embarking on this mission to augment today's High School students curriculum with Real Career Path Education. Their belief is that most schools today don't have the money to provide students with the career education opportunities that many want to have, prior to college. And those few schools that can, are out of financial reach of the vast majority of parents. The ed-5000 programs are meant to deliver these programs that High School students want, at a price point within the reach of the average family household.

The ed-5000 programs are not meant to replace a High School education, but simply to augment it with programs that would be difficult to bring to most public or private secondary education programs. Each program has been designed to address key skills that employers need to have, while providing flexibility for the student to explore a diverse number of career paths within the program. In addition, each program has been selected for its ability to reduce the cost of a college education, increase the likelihood of employment directly out of High School and facilitate a true career path opportunity where the student can start in one field and grow into another.
