Cross Stitch Tool Saves Users Time, Hobby Revitalized

New cross stitch tool saves users time. The Easy-Count Guideline has brought cross stitchers back to the hobby and is becoming more popular as a new revenue stream for retailers. Established company, R & S Designs, Inc., ships within the U.S. and internationally.

Bloomington, Ill (PRWEB) August 8, 2008 -- The Easy-Count Guideline™ was first introduced by R & S Designs, Inc. into the cross stitch and craft markets nationwide in the summer of 2006 and has brought much attention back to the hobby. Individuals who had once cross stitched but gave up the hobby are finding they can return to the craft with the incorporation of the Easy-Count Guideline™ into their projects.

The Easy-Count Guideline™ saves users nearly one-third of the time it takes to complete projects by keeping their place on the fabric and increasing the visibility of stitches. Furthermore, users can complete all of the stitches of one color throughout the entire project before changing needles or thread colors.

Since its introduction into the market, R & S owners Ron and Sue Hardwig have seen sales climb and attention to their product rise as crafters are re-discovering a favorite pastime.

"One customer wrote to us to tell us how the Easy-Count Guideline™ allowed her to complete cross stitch for the first time since she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis," said Sue Hardwig. "She and many other users have been so grateful for the Easy-Count Guideline™. It has allowed them to enjoy a favorite hobby again."

Sales for the Easy-Count Guideline™ have doubled in the past year and the product is being carried by Nordic Needle, Keepsake NeedleArts, The Stitchery, and Mary Maxim in the United States, Canada, and abroad. Reviews of the product have also appeared on About.com from Connie Thomas, an expert in cross stitch, and Origin Publishing, Ltd. in the United Kingdom featured the Easy-Count Guideline™ in its The World of Cross Stitching and Cross Stitch Crazy publications in the summer of 2008.

R & S Designs, Inc. was founded by Ron Hardwig and Sue Hardwig. Additional information about the Easy-Count Guideline™ is available on the company's Web site, www.rseasycount.com, along with an instructional/demonstrational video. For information on pricing, contact R & S Designs at (309) 828-8528.

Product Specifications
Developed from a specific size and color of nylon line for sewing, Easy-Count Guideline™ is used to create a grid on the fabric (10x10 squares) so the pattern can be matched up to the fabric quicker and easier. It is left in the fabric throughout the length of the project and removed once complete. Because of its unique material and design, the Easy-Count Guideline™ can be easily removed from the fabric when the project is complete as it does not get caught in the stitches.
