How to Watch PC Movies on Any DVD Player: VSO-Software: New ConvertXtoDVD Version 2.0

Today VSO Software announces the new ConvertXtoDVD. This software is a new version of the well known DivXtoDVD, integrating major new features requested in extensive VSO user surveys.

(PRWEB) February 20, 2006 -- VSO ConvertXtoDVD is a new version of the popular tool which converts and then burns video files that were originally only playable on a PC so that they become playable on any DVD Player. ConvertXtoDVD handles most of the digital multimedia formats in everyday life, extending its support beyond AVI files, XVid, MPEG 1/2/4, VOB, MOV, and now includes the formats WMV 3, HD and others.

“In our previous version we clearly underestimated the popularity of the WMV format. We were expecting people to use much more exotic formats when in fact most are still using the default software that comes with Windows. With the addition of support for WMV3, the creation of a DVD using files of your digital camera becomes a one click task." says Claire Waledisch, who manages a part of the technical support in VSO-Software. Once again VSO-Software has listened to their customers, implementing user requests.

The new version introduces several new features, including theoption to automatically create a DVD Menu from the conversion file list. The application can make a personalized menu as well as define how the DVD should be read (AutoStart the movie or loop videos). Therefore, ConvertXtoDVD is a must-have for busy people who want to put TV episodes or their personal camcorder movies onto DVD with excellent quality.

At a glimpse, the interface of ConvertXtoDVD is clear and easy to use with direct access to essentials features. But once familiar with the software, the user will discover a large range of options to customize film projects. One example is the option to add subtitles (.SRT or .SUB/IDX) with free choice of the fonts and colors. To name just a few new features, files using multiple audio tracks can now be tuned and also useless audio tracks can be removed to save space and maintain quality. The biggest change has been made under the hood, incorporating a new conversion engine. The engine has been rewritten to handle a wider variety of file formats. The engine is now faster and the user can freely set the balance between conversion speed and quality. The DVD output will look exactly like the original files.
This new version implements a PULL-DOWN option, presenting a huge advantage when converting videos from PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL, which are the 2 main TV standards.

ConvertXtoDVD contains the VSO Burning engine, which can be found in other popular CD and DVD Copy CD/DVD application too. According to the developer the VSO Burning engine is among the most complete recording applications able to write to DVD+R or -R , double-layer or the RW family. VSO shared information from its database on the best DVD drive manufacturers and media, recently publishing an interesting extract of results on its website, at http://www.vso-software.fr/articles/burning-stats/mediastat-best-burner-and-media-brand.php

VSO ConvertXtoDVD can be purchased online at a cost of €35 / US$35. VSO supports its customers by offering a free upgrade for registered users of VSO DivXtoDVD.
