The message, broadcast via satellite by a man calling himself "William", caused chaos in the town of Zanesville, Ohio where the newly installed Traffic Control System responded to the satellite's T56 radio waves by switching off during evening rush hour and causing a 95 mile tailback. My Darling Susy
I am speaking to you by satellite today as it is now clear that I have no other way of contacting you.
You refuse to take my calls and on top of this, your mother keeps intercepting my emails. She has told me that you don't want to see me any more.
Darling, I am at my wits end and I cannot understand how after everything we've been through, you still believe her rather than me. You know that she hates me and will do anything to tear us apart. Despite what your mother says, I'm not having an affair with my secretary. You know it has only ever been you. From the beginning and even before we got married your mother was always trying to break us up. I don't know what she's got against accountants.
Much as I love you, I think this may have to be my last attempt at reconciliation.
